Airport to Dubrovnik route and stops
- Dubrovnik Airport (DBV): shuttle departs outside Arrivals near the main entrance, normally around 30 minutes after a flight lands.
- Ploče Gate / Old Town: approximately 30 minutes from the airport.
- Dubrovnik Main Bus Station, Gruž: approximately 35 minutes from the airport and the final stop.
If your accommodation is near Pile, remember that the arrival stop is on the opposite, eastern side of the Old Town. For accommodation in Gruž or onward ferry and coach connections, stay on the shuttle to the Main Bus Station.
What if your flight is delayed or you miss the shuttle?
Platanus follows incoming flights in real time, so a delayed flight does not normally mean you lose the shuttle. Your airport-to-city ticket is valid for any shuttle departure on the same day, and if you miss the first bus after landing you can use the next available departure.
After collecting your luggage, leave Arrivals and look for the white post marked “Shuttle bus” near the main airport entrance. Platanus buses are clearly branded.
Dubrovnik → Airport shuttle timetable
These are the scheduled departures from Dubrovnik Main Bus Station in Gruž. The shuttle normally reaches Grawe about 5 minutes later and the Cable Car stop about 10 minutes later. Platanus recommends being at your chosen stop at least 10 minutes early.

Travel tips
The shuttle is coordinated with flight schedules, but Dubrovnik traffic can be heavy in summer. Use the current timetable for your exact date and leave a sensible buffer rather than relying on an old fixed “90 minutes domestic / 2 hours international” rule.
- Follow your airline’s guidance: choose a shuttle that gets you to DBV early enough for your airline’s recommended check-in, bag-drop, security and border-control time.
- Arrive at the pickup point early: Platanus recommends being at Gruž, Grawe or Cable Car at least 10 minutes before the expected pickup.
- Old Town pickup: use the Cable Car stop above the Old Town. Pile Gate is not a shuttle pickup point.
- Delayed arrival: Airport → Dubrovnik departures follow incoming flights. Your ticket is valid for another shuttle departure on the same travel day if you miss the first one.
- Mobile tickets: keep the QR code ready on your phone; printing is not required.
- Summer traffic: allow extra journey time when roads leaving Dubrovnik are congested.
